Assignment 2
Assignment
2
Motion
Blur
Personally, motion blur was the easiest because the photography did not
require many attempts it was just to catch an item in motion while I was standing
still. I used 1/60 shutter speed on the ProCamera app, personally did not see a
big difference compared to taking regular pictures with the camera app on the iPhone.
Stop
Motion
This technique was very difficult by far the hardest technique I had to do because the
whole work was in the items I was taking the picture or the person I had to
catch very precise moments, For this technique, I used a very slow shutter speed,
this was in 1/600 or 1/800, this te3chnique was very fun even if it was difficult
because there were some things that would not move even if in front of you they
would be moving. It gave me a very good opportunity to learn about shutter
speeds very specifically.
Panning
Unfortunately, Panning is my last type
of pictures I was able to take since it was almost impossible for me to do long
exposure that is why this assignment took some time because every time I tried
to do long exposure the result was nowhere near what I was expecting. But for
panning I had a lot of fun, catching people or things in motion while you were
also in motion with the camera was lots of fun and I completed that quite
quickly, I also used 1/60 and made most picture rather crisp, but for this it
is all in the photographers' ability to do the movement and not so much the
camera.
Part 2: Self Portrait
Throughout
this part of the assignment I had a little bit of a struggle on where to take
the pictures and what to do throughout them that is why it is not so
interesting it is just pictured in my room or by my window sill, working with
the different shadows around my room.
Lui Bolin
This photography used a very
unique photograph for his self-portrait he incorporated himself into the background
and makes it quite hard to actually find him but the way he did this was very
inspiring and I would enjoy trying something of the sort eventually.
Unfortunately, I did the research after taking the pictures which is why I didn’t
really copy what the photographers did.
Robert Mapplethorpe
This photographer
often took picture of himself as either a man or a women which is very unique,
you don’t often see many photographers taking pictures of themselves in the
other sex which is why he caught my eye, although the pictures don’t use motion
blur they are very unique and I have not seen someone do this.
