Portrait Assignment

 So I’ve been trying many different ways to get different people to take pictures of and I was able to get some friends to help me out, now the pictures arent amazing but they really work on many different aspects. The lighting is different in multiple pictures and I will try to explain the pictures as I show them.

Part A

For this picture it was quite hard to take a picture of the dog as he doesn't really ever listen to me but I was able to get a unique picture with the sun rays going through my face, I found that this picture was special enough that it could go into my portraits  even though you cant see my whole face the angle of me and the dog was very unique for me which is why I enjoy this picture a lot 

For this assignment I told my friends that I would take a picture of them and as you can see the lighting is not very good as there was no sunlight but the rays off the TV made them be a bit brighter. I couldn't make them take a good picture so I used this one to show how the lighting was pretty good even with not having much lighting. They did not want to take a regular picture so on purpose i slouched down so i can get them in a weird position and almost making it like they took the picture I had to lie down quite a lot so i can get this type of picture. 

For this picture I told my girlfriend that I needed a picture of her in a portrait and once again she wanted to look at her finest which there were many pictures to choose from but this came out best because you can see the lighting is very clear in this room and her face tells a lot about her attitude, she likes to look her finest for pictures and never misses that opportunity. I did not do any edits in the first Part since i think getting portraits tells a lot more than editting it when there is not much of a background, although I put the picture with a blurred background to make her pop out which is what i enjoy about this picture it makes her pop out a lot more. 

Part B

For this picture I chose it as my environmental portrait as it shows the trees behind me and me eating an apple, this photo was not taken by me but it was of me and I thought it was a very good portrait of myself eating in the wilderness. I usually take portraits of hips up as it really shows someones stance and you can tell a whole lot about someone when you can see the full body compared to just the head.

This picture was taken by me of me and edited by me. There was a street light and cars passing which is why the picture looks great, there was no flash but I had to retake and edit the picture quite a lot to make it pop out like that, the original was much darker but with some photoshop it made the whole picture work out, the tripod effect was quite hard as I had to take a camera tripod and tape my phone around it to make it so that it is a portrait. 

For this picture I decided to make it black and white since I work in a Walmart and the lighting is very bright. I lined up multiple mirrors and you can really see how unique this picture is, you can see entirely around us which I found was very unique. You can also observe that my friend that I photographed with was not in the best mood as was I when the photo was taken. For us to take pictures at work shows that we were both not in the mood and I wanted to work on this assignment.
